Why Limited Guests
Hello, brides-to-be!
One question I often hear is, “Why do you recommend a limit of three guests? COVID is long behind us, after all.”
While COVID presented many challenges, it also taught us a valuable lesson in the bridal world. During the pandemic, when guest limits were strictly enforced, appointments felt more focused and enjoyable. Before that, it wasn’t uncommon to have five to seven guests accompanying the bride. While the excitement was wonderful, it often became overwhelming—not just for me but for the bride as well.
With larger groups, I often found myself unsure of whom to focus on: the bride or her entourage. Everyone had opinions, and at times, the bride seemed more stressed than excited. A wedding dress appointment should be a joyful and personal experience, not one where the bride feels like she needs to please everyone around her.
With our current three-guest guideline, I’ve noticed a positive shift. These smaller, more intimate groups allow me to focus entirely on the bride. It creates a calm and collaborative environment where I can offer my full expertise as a seamstress and stylist. This way, we can concentrate on finding the perfect gown that matches her vision without distractions.
Ultimately, my goal is to provide each bride with the best possible experience—and I believe this more personal approach does just that.
Happy planning and I can’t wait to help you find your dream dress!
