D3586 Essense of Australia design change for bride
This bride came in for a consultation in mid-April, just two weeks after I had finalised my order for my July and August drop.
She wanted a simple mikado dress with puff sleeves, and was open to the design of the sleeves.
I had to let her know that I didn't have any mikado dresses that were suitable to have a sleeve added, but that I had seen one when I was reviewing the new collections. The designers give me a small photo of the new collection for me to order from, until the collection is released online. I showed the bride this image, and put her in the D3460 so that she could visualise the how the skirt would fall, and into the Halani for the V neckline.
I told her that what I had seen on the zoom video when I was doing my buying meant that I knew I could get exactly what she was looking for and all I would need to do is make the puff sleeves.
I rang up Essense of Australia to let them know I had sold a dress that was technically not yet released. They weren't surprised as I've done this before a few times.
The video shows the process of the sleeve production and how we worked together to find the right one for this bride's figure and desired finished look.
