I popped into the shop at 5pm as I had forgotten something that I needed at home. While I was there, the shop phone rang...I decided to answer it - it was a bride's sister in distress. She said her wedding was a mere two weeks away and the dress she bought online from a Brisbane designer ended up being a disaster.

I said 'When do you want to come in? Can you come tonight?' This bride needed to drive down from Narellen, which is 45mins away, but if she needed alterations then I needed her to choose a dress TODAY.

I explained that I am a dressmaker and asked what was wrong with the dress. She said it just didn't suit her. On the way to my boutique she said to her mum “This lady is a dressmaker and she sounds like she knows her shit…" Well, I hope so!

We tried on a few of the gowns that I had in her size, and YES, SHE FOUND HER DRESS!
