Persephone (with or without overskirt)
Persephone by Katy Corso
Persephone by Katy Corso is a truly striking two-look bridal gown with a high-end designer feel.
The gown underneath is a beautifully structured lace sheath dress, featuring a straight-across neckline with elegant scalloped lace trimming. The bodice is well boned for support and shape, flowing into a flattering V basque waist that enhances the figure beautifully.
What makes Persephone so unique is the lace itself. Rather than a traditional floral pattern, it features a more unusual, structured lace design with linear beaded detailing through the centre front. It feels modern, refined and very different from the expected bridal lace.
The look is then completely transformed with the satin overskirt. This is not your standard overskirt — it has an architectural curved waist panel with detailed shaping and soft panel lines that sit beautifully at the waist before cascading out into a dramatic, elegant silhouette. It gives the bride two completely different looks in one gown: fitted and refined for one moment, then full, dramatic and statement-making for the next.
The overskirt can also be styled with other lace gowns, and Alison has had fun pairing it with different dresses in the boutique — it really does create a beautiful second look.
Persephone is available as a complete set or can be purchased separately, making it a wonderfully versatile option for the bride who wants something designer, different and unforgettable.
A gown definitely worth trying on.
