I spotted The Dress
Hi Brides-to-be, The story of this bride is AMAZING! She arrived at my boutique early this year, after visiting many of the bridal shops in the Illawarra. We spoke for a while, and she said to me “Connie, I need to buy my dress from you. My gut feeling says that you’re the type of person who wears your heart on your sleeve. I know you will see my dress right through to the end.” We met over a few appointments and, after lots of emails back and forth, I knew exactly what she was looking for. Unfortunately I didn’t have the dress in my store, but I knew I could get one!
I went to the London bridal shows that May, and I was at the Justin Alexander showing when I spotted The Dress. It is a rule that guests do not take
photos of the dresses, however I explained to the designer that the dress was exactly what my client was looking for, and asked if I could please
take a close-up pic for my bride. The designer could see how excited and anxious I was, so suggested I take a sneaky pic!
I couldn’t wait to email my bride the minute I got back to Australia. I wrote to her, “Come in as soon as you can…I have something to show you!”
I showed her both the professional photos of the dress on the model, and my own photos, and her excitement increased as I explained each detail
of the design. I said to her, “It is a risk because you haven’t seen it, and even if I order in one as a stock dress for myself, you will be pushing
it to get your dress in time for your wedding. But I truly think it is everything you wanted in a single dress.”
The bride decided to take the risk, and it finally arrived this week! She tried it on for the first time yesterday and she LOVED it. She said, “Connie,
I was so anxious but it is everything I wanted!”
I knew the dress was perfect the moment I saw it in London. Thank you for placing your trust in me.
