There’s a general misconception that plus sized brides shouldn’t wear certain styles of dresses; however, many brides dream of a full lace dress, and there is no reason why we can’t work together to find a style that flatters your body shape. This gorgeous lace dress is constructed with a heavy ivory lace over a darker almond tulle, but unlike many full lace dresses, the detail of the lace is placed vertically, which lengthens the body and narrows the torso. 

There are other tricks that we can utilise to better flatter a heavier bust or curvier figure - one of these is ensuring there is a full hand’s width of space between the underside of the bust and the natural waist of the dress. It is also important to ensure that a heavier bust is sufficiently supported, and the design of this jacket (which is actually by another designer yet still a perfect match!) meant that this bride could wear her bra without the straps showing. A jacket can also help alleviate some brides’ concerns with bare shoulders and arms.
