Alteration of the week : Plus Bride Alteration
My beautiful bride pictured below got nervous as her wedding day approached and she hadn't lost the weight she had planned to in time for the big day. She did really well, but as her nerves increased I said to her, "I sew, don't panic."
I'm extremely passionate about making sure all the brides that walk down the aisle in a dress from my boutique feel like a million dollars. To help my bride make her dress what she dreamt of I called Essense of Australia to order the lace and satin her dress was made in.
The first photo shows you how I put a side seam gusset, which if i do say so myself, how well did I disguise the seam? No one would ever know we altered the dress!
It's a wonder what a little lace can do, and with this bit of eyelash edge lace on the edge of the straps made my bride feel more comfortable with bare arms. Taking this idea of lace onto the back, we added that in there so that she was confident in showing her back off when it was time to take off the veil and enjoy the rest of her wedding day.
And the 4th photo is the reason I do what I do, my bride's token of thanks for such a great experience, which read 'I had my trust in you. Without you being an expert, I wouldn't have had a dream dress.'
