This photo disproves all those myths that a plus-sized bride couldn’t wear a straight lace dress. It does need a small alteration at the bust, but besides that I think she looks amazing.

This dress is an Essence of Australia D1998 with a double layer of ivory lace. I chose a cafe coloured lustre satin as my underlay choice, as I thought that would be the most flattering on a larger figure. It is quite structured through the bust, waist and hips and then falls softly to the floor. The lace train is unlined, which makes the dress infinitely lighter to wear and shows off the double layer of lace.
